Its green leaves develop attractive cream-to-white variegation, creating a distinctive look that makes this variegated Rhaphidophora especially appealing to aroid collectors and tropical plant enthusiasts.
Plant Characteristics
Young leaves are relatively small, oval to elongated, with a firm texture and naturally grow flat against a climbing surface. When provided with proper vertical support, the plant develops its characteristic shingling habit, with leaves overlapping closely along the surface.
As Rhaphidophora korthalsii matures, its foliage can become larger and may develop a more divided or fenestrated appearance. It is a vigorous climbing aroid that performs best on a moss pole, wooden board, or similar support that allows its aerial roots to attach naturally.
