Philodendron hastatum ‘Silver Sword’, scientifically known as Philodendron hastatum, is a striking tropical climbing plant admired for its metallic silver-blue foliage and distinctive sword-shaped leaves. In its mature form, the elongated foliage becomes especially dramatic, giving this collectible Philodendron a bold, architectural appearance that stands out in any indoor tropical plant collection.
Plant Characteristics
Silver Sword develops smooth, firm leaves with a characteristic silvery blue to blue-green sheen. Juvenile leaves are narrower, while mature plants produce larger, more elongated, arrow-to-sword-shaped foliage. As a climbing Philodendron, it naturally grows upward and benefits from a moss pole, trellis, or similar support.
