Monstera Albo Variegated – Lush (Monstera deliciosa ‘Albo Variegata’) is a highly collectible tropical houseplant known for its dramatic green leaves splashed and marbled with creamy white variegation. Each leaf develops a unique pattern, giving every plant its own character and making it a standout addition to any rare plant collection.
Plant Characteristics
This variegated Monstera produces thick, leathery, heart-shaped foliage that develops characteristic splits and fenestrations as the plant matures. The white-to-cream variegation may appear as marbling, sectoral patches, or smaller speckles across the foliage.
It has a climbing growth habit and benefits from a moss pole, stake, or other vertical support. Under favorable indoor conditions, mature plants can produce significantly larger leaves with deeper fenestrations and develop vines several feet long.
Care Guide
Provide bright, indirect light to support healthy growth and maintain strong variegation. Avoid intense direct sunlight, especially on the white sections of the leaves, as these areas are more sensitive to scorching.
Water when the top 1–2 inches of the growing medium begin to dry. Maintain moderate to high humidity, ideally around 60–80%, with good airflow. Monstera Albo prefers temperatures between 65–85°F and should be protected from cold drafts.
Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix containing materials such as orchid bark, coco chips, perlite, and a moisture-retentive component. A container with proper drainage is essential. Care level is generally considered moderate.
