Monstera Albo Variegated Cutting – 1 Leaf (Monstera deliciosa ‘Albo Variegata’) is a highly collectible tropical plant known for its dramatic white-and-green variegated foliage. Each cutting carries a unique variegation pattern, making every plant visually distinctive and offering collectors the opportunity to grow their own established Monstera Albo from a single-leaf cutting.
Plant Characteristics
This variegated Monstera features thick, leathery green foliage decorated with white to creamy-white sectoral, marbled, or speckled variegation. As the plant matures, new leaves can become significantly larger and may develop the iconic splits and fenestrations associated with mature Monstera deliciosa.
Monstera Albo has a climbing growth habit and benefits from a moss pole, plank, or other vertical support as it develops. Under suitable growing conditions, mature plants can produce large, impressive foliage, although leaf size, fenestration, and variegation will vary between individual plants.
Care Guide
Provide bright, indirect light to support healthy growth and maintain attractive variegation. Avoid intense direct sunlight, which may scorch the white portions of the foliage. Water when the upper layer of the growing medium begins to dry, and never allow the cutting to remain in waterlogged soil.
Maintain moderate to high humidity, ideally around 60–80%, with good air circulation. Temperatures between 65–85°F are recommended. Use a chunky, airy, well-draining aroid mix containing materials such as orchid bark, perlite, coco chips, and other porous components.
Care level is generally moderate, with extra attention recommended during the rooting and establishment stage.
