Hoya sp. ‘Cianjur Splash’ is a rare Indonesian wax plant admired for its compact foliage and eye-catching silver splash pattern. Originating from the Cianjur region of West Java, this collector Hoya brings a refined, shimmering look to indoor plant shelves, hanging displays, and tropical plant collections.
Plant Characteristics
This Hoya produces small to medium-sized, oval leaves with a smooth to lightly textured surface. Each green leaf develops irregular silver flecks and splash markings, giving every plant a naturally unique appearance. It has a trailing to climbing growth habit and performs beautifully in a hanging pot or when trained on a small trellis. With proper care, mature vines may extend several feet while maintaining a compact and elegant leaf profile.
Care Guide
Provide bright, indirect light to support healthy growth and encourage stronger silver splash coloration. Allow the growing medium to dry partially between waterings, as Hoya roots prefer good airflow and should not remain constantly wet. Maintain moderate to high humidity, ideally around 60–80%, with adequate air circulation. Recommended temperatures are approximately 65–85°F (18–29°C).
