Hoya lacunosa (Hoya lacunosa Blume) is a charming tropical Hoya known for its compact foliage, trailing vines, and beautifully textured leaves. Popular among both beginner Hoya growers and experienced collectors, this species combines attractive foliage with a manageable growth habit, making it an excellent collectible Hoya for indoor growing.
Plant Characteristics
Hoya lacunosa typically develops small, oval to lance-shaped leaves with pointed tips and a slightly textured surface. The foliage is usually deep to medium green, while individual plants may show natural variations in leaf shape, texture, and coloration.
This tropical epiphytic plant has a trailing and climbing growth habit. Its flexible vines can be allowed to cascade from a hanging pot or trained onto a small trellis. With maturity, the vines can grow several feet long under favorable conditions while maintaining relatively compact foliage.
