This collectible Hoya produces firm, textured leaves with an elongated to oval shape and a naturally attractive green surface. Subtle variations in leaf shape, color, texture, and venation may develop as the plant matures, giving each specimen its own individual appearance.
Hoya Kuhlii Sp. Java has a climbing and trailing growth habit. Its flexible vines can be trained around a trellis, hoop, pole, or other support to create a fuller vertical display. Under stable growing conditions, mature vines may extend several feet, while leaf size and overall growth will vary depending on light, humidity, nutrition, and growing environment.

Place this tropical Hoya in bright, indirect light. Gentle morning sunlight may support healthy growth, but prolonged exposure to intense midday sun should be avoided.
Water thoroughly when the upper portion of the growing medium begins to dry. Avoid keeping the roots continuously wet. Maintain moderate to high humidity, ideally around 60–80%, together with good air circulation.
The ideal temperature range is approximately 65–85°F. Protect the plant from cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F. Use a chunky, well-draining Hoya mix containing orchid bark, coco chips, perlite, and a small amount of moisture-retentive material. A pot with drainage holes is essential. This plant has a moderate care level.
