Hoya crassipetiolata Splash (Hoya crassipetiolata Aver., V.T.Pham & T.A.Le) is a collectible tropical Hoya admired for its thick foliage, prominent venation, and naturally scattered silver splash. The combination of structured leaves and unpredictable silver markings gives every plant a distinctive appearance, making it an attractive choice for Hoya enthusiasts and foliage collectors. The species is accepted botanically and originates from the wet tropical regions of Vietnam.
Plant Characteristics
This large-leaf Hoya produces firm, leathery green leaves with an elongated to broadly oval shape and clearly visible veins. The splash form displays irregular silver flecking across the foliage, with the amount and placement of splash naturally varying from leaf to leaf.
Hoya crassipetiolata Splash has a climbing and vining growth habit. It can be trained around a trellis, hoop, or other vertical support to create a fuller and more organized display. Under favorable growing conditions, established vines can develop increasingly substantial foliage and extend several feet indoors.
