Epipremnum Amplissimum Aurea Variegated (Epipremnum amplissimum) is a striking variegated tropical aroid prized for its long, narrow foliage decorated with vibrant yellow-to-golden variegation. Its elegant leaf shape and unpredictable aurea pattern make each new leaf visually distinctive, creating an eye-catching climbing houseplant for aroid collectors.
Plant Characteristics
This variegated Epipremnum produces elongated, lance-shaped leaves with a smooth surface and an elegant, streamlined appearance. The green foliage develops yellow, golden, or lighter aurea variegation that can appear as streaks, sectors, or marbled patterns, with natural variation from leaf to leaf.
Epipremnum amplissimum is a climbing aroid that benefits from a moss pole, plank, or other vertical support. Under favorable growing conditions, mature plants can develop significantly larger foliage and long climbing vines.
Care Guide
Provide bright, indirect light to support healthy growth and maintain attractive variegation. Avoid prolonged harsh direct sunlight, which may scorch lighter sections of the leaves. Water when the upper layer of the growing medium begins to dry, and never allow the roots to remain constantly saturated.
Maintain moderate to high humidity, ideally around 60–80%, with good airflow. Temperatures between 65–85°F are suitable for active tropical growth. Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix containing materials such as orchid bark, coco chips, perlite, and other airy components. Providing climbing support can encourage stronger growth and larger mature foliage. Care level is generally moderate.
Why Collectors Love It
Collectors appreciate Epipremnum Amplissimum Aurea Variegated for its unusual narrow foliage and naturally variable golden-yellow variegation. The combination of a graceful climbing habit and unique leaf patterns makes it an attractive addition to a curated variegated aroid collection.

I am so incredibly late on posting this video. This plant came in 3 weeks ago now and I’m just getting to posting this and I almost thought I wasn’t going to. My editing software was not working for anything, but I got it all fixed so now I can start getting out lots of videos we’ve recorded recently!🪴
