Anthurium Green Mamba (Anthurium warocqueanum × Anthurium magnificum ‘Verde’) is a striking hybrid prized for its elongated foliage, bold venation, and refined tropical appearance. Combining the elegant leaf shape of A. warocqueanum with the substantial texture and structure associated with A. magnificum, this collectible Anthurium makes an impressive addition to any premium indoor plant collection.

Plant Characteristics

Anthurium Green Mamba produces elongated, heart-shaped to narrow leaves with a velvety to semi-velvety surface and prominent contrasting veins. As the plant matures, the foliage can become significantly larger and more dramatic, especially when grown in stable humidity and bright filtered light.

It has an upright, self-heading growth habit and gradually forms a strong central stem with new leaves emerging from the crown. Mature leaf size can vary widely depending on genetics and growing conditions, but established plants may develop foliage well beyond 12 inches in length.

Care Guide

Grow Anthurium Green Mamba in bright, indirect light and avoid prolonged exposure to harsh direct sun. Water when the upper layer of the growing medium begins to dry, keeping the roots evenly moist but never waterlogged.

Maintain humidity around 60–80% with good airflow. Ideal temperatures are approximately 65–85°F, and the plant should be protected from cold drafts and temperatures below 55°F.

Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix containing orchid bark, coco chips, perlite, and a moisture-retentive component such as coco coir or sphagnum. This hybrid is best suited to growers with moderate Anthurium experience.

Why Collectors Love It

Collectors appreciate Anthurium Green Mamba for its dramatic hybrid foliage, prominent venation, and elegant proportions. It offers the visual appeal of premium velvet Anthuriums while developing a bold, architectural presence as it matures.

I am so incredibly late on posting this video. This plant came in 3 weeks ago now and I’m just getting to posting this and I almost thought I wasn’t going to. My editing software was not working for anything, but I got it all fixed so now I can start getting out lots of videos we’ve recorded recently!🪴
