Anthurium Dressleri x Forgetii (Anthurium dressleri × Anthurium forgetii) is a striking collector hybrid that combines the dramatic foliage traits of two highly sought-after Anthurium species. Its dark, velvety leaves, prominent venation, and compact tropical appearance make it an excellent choice for collectors looking for a distinctive foliage plant with strong visual character.
Plant Characteristics
This Anthurium hybrid typically develops broad, heart-shaped to rounded leaves with a velvety surface and clearly defined veins. Depending on the individual plant, the foliage may show characteristics inherited from either parent, including darker coloration from Anthurium dressleri and the more rounded, closed-sinus leaf shape associated with Anthurium forgetii.
It has a compact, upright growth habit and gradually produces larger foliage as it matures. Mature leaf size can vary considerably depending on genetics, growing conditions, humidity, light, and nutrition.
Care Guide
Provide bright, indirect light and avoid prolonged exposure to harsh direct sunlight, which may damage the foliage. Water thoroughly when the upper layer of the growing medium begins to dry, while keeping the root zone evenly moist but never waterlogged.
Maintain humidity around 60–80% with consistent air circulation. Ideal temperatures are approximately 65–85°F, and the plant should be protected from cold drafts.
