Alocasia Reversa Borneo (Alocasia reversa) is a distinctive tropical aroid admired for its unusual foliage pattern and compact, sculptural appearance. Native to Borneo, this collectible Alocasia stands out with silvery to gray-green leaves contrasted by darker green veins and central areas, creating a striking “reversed” coloration that makes it instantly recognizable among Alocasia collectors.
Plant Characteristics
Alocasia reversa develops arrow-shaped to elongated leaves with a firm, slightly textured surface and prominent venation. Its contrasting foliage gives the plant a metallic, almost patterned appearance that becomes more pronounced as the leaves mature.
This species has an upright, clumping growth habit rather than a trailing or climbing form. Under favorable indoor or greenhouse conditions, it remains relatively compact compared with many larger Alocasia species, making it suitable for collector shelves, tropical displays, and indoor plant collections.
